日本選手権、女子4×100ｍリレーで初優勝を飾った甲南大をピックアップ。

東京五輪代表・青山華依を擁し、予選で学生歴代3位の44秒74をマークしていた甲南大。
青山、奥野、井戸と予選メンバーを２走から4走に配置。
1走に1年生の岡根和奏を抜擢して臨んだ決勝は無駄なくバトンをつなぎトップでゴール。

学生記録には届かなかったが、予選の記録を0.02秒更新するが44秒72で初優勝を飾った。

We pick up Konan University, which won the Japan Championships and the women’s 4x100m relay for the first time.

With Tokyo Olympics representative Hanae Aoyama, Konan University had marked 44.74 seconds, the third fastest time ever by a student in the preliminaries.
Aoyama, Okuno, Ido, and other members of the qualifying team were placed in the second through fourth runs.
In the final race, with freshman Wakana Okane selected as the first runner, the baton was connected without wasting time, and the team crossed the finish line at the top.

Although she did not reach the student record, she won the first race in 44.72 seconds, 0.02 seconds faster than the record set in the qualifying round.
