東京オリンピック記念宿舎～代々木公園

東京都新宿区にある代々木公園内に1964年に開催された東京オリンピックの選手村の選手宿舎が保存されているというので見に行ってきました
実際にオランダ選手団が使用していました
かつてここに存在した旧陸軍練兵場跡に戦後建てられた米軍用住宅「ワシントンハイツ」
そのワシントンハイツが日本に返還され選手村として利用され、米軍兵用の住宅も五輪選手団の宿舎として再利用されました
そのうちの一つが記念として残されています

【Tokyo Olympic Memorial Lodging – Yoyogi Park】
I went to see the preserved athletes’ dormitory of the 1964 Tokyo Olympics athletes’ village in Yoyogi Park in Shinjuku-ku, Tokyo.
It was actually used by the Dutch athletes.
Washington Heights, a housing complex for the U.S. military, was built after the war on the site of the former army training camp that once existed here.
Washington Heights was returned to Japan and used as an athletes’ village, and the housing for U.S. soldiers was also reused as housing for the Olympic team.
One of these houses remains as a memorial.
